We have released FMD Server as a snap on the Snap Store.

We've expanded our packaging options and are now offering FMD Server as a snap.

Get it from the Snap Store

Snap is a self-contained, sandboxed packaging system from Canonical. It comes pre-installed on Ubuntu and derivatives, and can be installed on many other distributions, too.

What are the benefits?​

  • Sandboxed Security
    • Each snap runs with the minimum permission in an isolated environment
  • Self-Contained:
    • All needed dependencies are included, eliminating conflicts.
  • Easy installation
  • Automatic updates

We hope this step makes it easier for the admins and hobbyists out there to manage and run their own FMD Server instance.

Don't worry, this is only an extension of our packaging options. So if you don't want to use it, you don't have to.
